This 2017 Ford Transit Custom home-conversion campervan combines everyday drivability with an excellent electrical setup for touring away from campsites.
Its main highlight is the off-grid equipment, including a lithium leisure battery, Victron inverter and solar panel. Lithium technology provides more usable power, faster charging and more consistent performance than a conventional lead-acid leisure battery, making it particularly useful for weekends away and extended touring.
The Victron inverter converts power from the leisure battery into 230V electricity, allowing suitable mains-powered equipment to be used when an electric hook-up is unavailable. The solar panel helps replenish the leisure battery while travelling or parked.
A diesel heater keeps the interior warm during colder evenings without relying on campsite electricity, making this a practical campervan for touring throughout the seasons.
The rear seating area incorporates a rock-and-roll bed, quickly converting the campervan from daytime living space into sleeping accommodation for two. A double swivel cab seat helps create a more comfortable and sociable living area when parked.
With five travelling seatbelts, it also provides considerably more flexibility than many two-berth campervans and can be used for family days out as well as overnight trips.
The kitchen area includes a two-burner gas hob, sink, 12V fridge and useful storage, providing the essentials for preparing meals while travelling.
Built on the popular Ford Transit Custom and powered by the 2.0-litre diesel engine with a manual gearbox, it has covered 120,000 miles and benefits from a great service history in the last 70k miles. Importantly, the wet belt was replaced between 90,000 and 100,000 miles.
Driving equipment includes cab air conditioning, satellite navigation, a reversing camera and radio. Further touring equipment includes a gas bottle and spare wheel.
With a gross weight of 2,940kg, it can be driven on a standard UK car licence. It has an MOT until 30 May 2027.
There are some age-related marks, including scratches to the rear left-hand side and age related corrosion to the alloy wheels. These can be shown clearly in the full photograph album so buyers have an accurate view before travelling.
