For sale we have a 2001 VW T4 Transporter in mustard yellow. This Kombi van was converted by Murvi Motorhomes who are a long-established motorhome converter based in Devon. The engine used on this campervan is the 2.5 litre turbo diesel producing 88bhp and linked to a 5-speed gearbox.
This campervan was purchased from new by the present owners and has been serviced when ever required over the 20-year life of the van with a full-service record with receipts and with the timing belt being replaced around 15,000 miles ago. The last MOT in August was passed with flying colours with only one minor advisory being a wheel bearing with slight play.
Step inside this campervan and this is where it gets interesting. Both single front seats swivel and the rear bench seat with 3 seatbelts converts into a lovely large double bed. It is also possible to move the bench seat all the way forward to allow plenty of room to get masses of luggage or full-size bikes in the rear. Or push it back to leave a lovely large area for dining and lounging using the stow-away table that clips onto the rail by the hob. This really is a clever design and so adaptable for a number of scenarios. On top of this, it is also adapted for wheelchair use with access ramps and tracks for securing the wheelchair whilst on the move. Unfortunately, the securing clamps have been misplaced but I am sure they will be readily available if required. The fixed low-line roof has two skylights fitted that fill the interior with light. The solid cupboard unit finished in white has a twin gas hob, sink with cold running water supplied from the onboard tank and a porta-potti located in the bottom cupboard. There are black-out curtains to the side windows and an interior thermal screen for the front. The interior upholstery is in lovely clean condition and ready for many more years of travel. Also included in the sale is a 3-bike cycle rack, gas bottle and electric hook-up cable.
