The California Ocean features a fully integrated side kitchen unit positioned behind the sliding door. This includes a two burner gas hob, stainless steel sink with running tap and a top-loading compressor fridge located beneath the worktop. Glass covers over the hob and sink create additional workspace when not in use, while integrated cupboards provide useful storage for cooking equipment and food.
Sleeping space is provided for up to four people. The rear sliding bench seat easily converts into a comfortable double bed, while the electric pop-top roof houses a second double sleeping area. The upper bed features supportive mattress sections and panoramic canvas windows which provide ventilation and natural light.
The interior layout is designed to maximise comfort within a compact footprint. Both front captain seats swivel to face the rear, creating a lounge and dining space together with the rear bench. A removable dining table stored in the sliding door can be quickly installed for meals or relaxing inside the camper. Integrated blackout blinds and curtains provide privacy and darkness when required.
Externally the vehicle benefits from Volkswagen’s factory fitted wind-out side awning, providing useful sheltered outdoor living space when parked. The iconic pop-top roof allows full standing height inside the camper while maintaining a low overall height when closed. The Ocean is the top specification California model and includes Volkswagen’s integrated camper control touchscreen panel, allowing easy monitoring of the leisure battery system, lighting and camping functions.
The vehicle benefits from a dedicated auxiliary leisure battery system, 230V mains hook-up, interior lighting package and multiple storage compartments including a wardrobe and cupboards within the camper unit.
