For the more adventurous traveller Rother Valley Coutry Park is also close by with wake boarding, water skiing, paddle boarding and kayaking facilities. South Derbyshire is close to Cannock chase which is known for its mountain biking facilities and also home to forestry commission concerts in the summer months. On the Derbyshire Staffordshire border is the market town of Uttoxeter which is home to Uttoxeter race course for those looking for horse racing.
