This is a rare opportunity to get your hands on Rapido's flagship 999m model from their 2007 range. These gorgeous A Class models only come on to the market very occasionally and are usually snapped up extremely quickly, and once you have viewed one it is easy to see why. Everything about it demonstrates class and sophistication and being built on the exceptional Mercedes chassis with a powerful 3.0 litre engine and an automatic gearbox it is an absolute dream to drive.
Externally the motorhome has a bike rack for 2 cycles and a roof ladder which makes cleaning the roof a breeze. At the rear is a tall storage locker and there are also pull out lockers on either side which are deceptively spacious. A large wind out awning means that you can enjoy al fresco dining. As always with a Rapido the external graphics are very eye pleasing and this is definitely one of the better looking motorhomes on the road.
Inside, the layout features the ever popular end bathroom and this bathroom has a real feel of quality. It has a separate shower with a perspex screen, a Thetford cassette toilet with electric flush, a wash basin with a mixer tap, a large mirror and lots of cupboard space to store your toiletries. The cabinetry is solid and well built unlike in many motorhomes and the rich colour really gives the bathroom a high class feel. There is both a window and a skylight so you certainly won't find this bathroom dark and dingy.
At the rear next to the bathroom is the fixed double bed which measures 78 x 53 inches and there is storage space underneath this. The other bed is a pull down bed above the cab which measures 75 x 53 inches. Above the rear bed there are numerous lockers providing plenty of storage space. Moving forwards you come to the kitchen which is very well equipped so there's no excuse for not being able to rustle up a great meal. You have a 3 gas burner hob, an oven with grill, a microwave, a sink with mixer tap and loads of cupboard space to store your ingredients and cookware. There is a huge 175 litre 3 way fridge freezer with automatic selection so you have tons of room to store your beer and wine....oh and of course a bit of food!
The lounge area is simply a delight to relax in. It features an L shaped sofa on one side and a single seat on the other with an adjustable dining table which sits in between. Above is a large skylight which you can open when you want some fresh air. The upholstery is in excellent condition and is finished in a very pleasant neutral colour which is easy on the eye. There is a slide out TV for when you want to catch up on the latest TV and there is a self seeking satellite dish giving you a huge range of satellite channels for you to enjoy.
In the cab you immediately discover one of the benefits of owning an A Class and that is superb driver visibility. This stunning motorhome has everything a driver could want for making every journey a total pleasure. Being a Mercedes It has the best chassis and engine that there is and it has the superb automatic gearbox to make every journey a real joy. There is also cab air conditioning, power windows and mirrors and a radio cd player. Both front seats are Captain chairs so they swivel to allow the front passengers to join in with the rest of the party. This motorhome has a solar panel so if wild camping is your thing you are well catered for. Heating and hot water run off both gas and electric via the Truma system.
