This is a truly unique opportunity to take ownership of one of the rarest campervans ever made. Auto-Sleepers only ever built 15 Medallions and is estimated that only 6 of these were made on the Mercedes chassis. It comes with Mercedes excellent 2.9 litre engine and automatic transmission. The exterior of the campervan is made of GRP monocoque coachwork, which is strong, leak-resistant and good-looking. This Medallion boasts a classic and timeless design that still looks appealing today. It features a sturdy and reliable Mercedes chassis, renowned for its durability and performance. The body of the Medallion is crafted with attention to detail. It comes equipped with a tow bar, a wind out awning and a spare wheel.
Step inside and you'll be greeted by a well-thought-out interior that maximises space utilisation while providing a comfortable and inviting living environment. The layout is designed to accommodate the needs of campers, offering a range of features that make it an excellent choice for extended trips and adventures.
At the rear you have a well-appointed kitchen equipped with an oven and grill, a 4 gas burner hob, a 3-way fridge with an ice box and a stainless steel sink with a mixer tap. As always with any Auto-Sleepers campervan, every square inch of space has been thought out and there is a surprisingly large amount of storage space.
The campervan's washroom is compact yet functional. It includes a Thetford cassette toilet, a washbasin, and a shower, ensuring that you have all the necessary facilities to freshen up during your travels. There is a bathroom cupboard to store your toiletries and a large mirror.
The lounge has a long side facing sofa on the driver side and forward and rear facing chairs on the passenger side. Both sides can be used as single beds or can be pulled together to make a large double bed. The large windows flood the lounge with light making it a great spot to relax with a drink or to have your meals.
In the cab you have the joy of driving a Mercedes-Benz with automatic transmission and a 2.9 litre engine. There is a radio cd player as well as a reversing camera, although at just over 6 metres in length driving this compact campervan should be a breeze.
This Medallion comes with a number of fantastic extras. It has an underslung gas tank so can pump the gas straight in rather than having to keep changing bottles and this saves around 70% on your gas costs. A roof mounted solar panel provides a permanent charge to your leisure battery so if you fancy a spot of wild camping you can go off-grid for a few days. It also features the amazing Webasto diesel heating system which will keep you as warm as toast in the coldest of weather.
The current owner has loved and cherished this vehicle and it has had money spent on it whenever needed. It had a habitation check in November 2022 which it passed with flying colours. A full service was carried out in August 2022 and it had a new engine battery in April 2023. Another great feature is that this Mercedes vehicle has a timing chain and not a belt so there is no need to worry about changing the cambelt every five years.
There is a crack on the rear bumper which can easily be fixed but other than that this vehicle is in great condition for its age.
