An excellent first motorhome buy, the Riviera 171 offers a proper washroom, generous lounge, full kitchen and lots of storage. At 6.72 metres long, its a versatile performer for a variety of holiday styles and has 4 travelling seats in total. Based on the Fiat Maxi Chassis with a 2.8 litre turbodiesel engine married to a 5 speed gearbox, the Riviera has a Revenue weight of 3850KG, giving plenty of payload, although drivers will need category C1 on their licence.
Inside, the Riveria is both roomy and practical, with three clearly defined zones. To the front is the seating area, a relaxing space with room for at least 6 to socialise once the cab seats are swivelled. The side settee is long enough to be used as a single berth and the opposing dinette can also make another three quarter bed. Over the cab is a generous double bed which lifts out of the way when not in use.
Midships, you will find a spacious kitchen with a good range of storage, worksurfaces, drawers and essential appliances including three way fridge, gas hob, oven and grill, while to the rear is the enclosed washroom with toilet, vanity sink and fully lined shower cubicle. The Riviera 171 remains an attractive motorhome, having two tone bodywork, tasteful graphics and alloy wheels.
