Unashamedly luxurious, this automatic transmission right hand drive Liner Class motorhome is capable of extended trips away at any time of year, having generous accommodation, copious storage, wet central heating and high specification including hydraulic self levelling. Frankia is a premium German manufacturer with long pedigree and design flair, the i790 Plus is no exception, offering a combination of electrically lowered double beds or one double and two single berths, with 4 travelling seats in total. It is 8 metres long and is plated at 5000KG, so drivers will need category C1 on their licence.
Essentially the layout comprises of a forward enclosable washroom, centre kitchen and tall storage, generous rear lounge and large rear garage, with the rear double bed lowering over the seating area and the front beds lowering over the cab.
The washroom straddles the forward area and is completely enclosable with two solid partitions and has room to move between the fully lined shower and vanity area, with its own radiator, vanity sink and toilet, excellent storage. Just forward of this is additional storage and concealed steps for the forward bed, which lowers electrically. Its a large transverse bed which quickly converts into two longitudinal singles if required. The cab is quickly screened off using integrated side window blinds and an electrically lowered screen shutter. There good lighting here and a TV too.
Midships you will find the kitchen with all the essential elements including gas hob, oven and grill, large fridge freezer, microwave. There is a deep kitchen sink and a range of storage options. To the rear is the sumptous U lounge with ample room to stretch out or entertain. This is where the factory fitted pop up rear belted seats are located, under the lounge seats. Again, there is copious storage here including a shallow locker for remote controls etc. Above the lounge, the double bed lowers at the touch of a button. For entertainment, there is a fitted Avtex smart TV and soundbar, WiFi requiring subscription.
Heating and hot water are via the well regarded dual fuel Alde wet system, which is antifreeze protected and offers superior warmth distribution throughout the motorhome even in the coldest weather.
Outside, you will find the generously sized, lined and heated garage with a large rear door and side access, a side service point with integrated retractable mains cable reel and extending grey water hose, external shower point, side underfloor storage currenly housing a spare wheel, external BBQ point, roll out sun canopy and solar panel feeding twin leisure batteries. Just two buttons to press on the remote control and the whole vehicle will self level on site using its four hydraulic jacks.
Up front the cab offers comfortable swivel seats, an upgraded media unit with Android Auto and Apple car play, cab air conditioning and Fiat Comfortmatic transmission, with fully automated gear changing or paddle shift style override. Outward view is excellent thanks to large screen area and teardrop mirrors. For added security, there is a Gemini alarm system and tracker under subscription.
