The 925M is a very rare model in the UK and was, at the time of its production, very much a state of the art motorhome and it has some very noteworthy features.Firstly, the engine is a chain-driven Mercedes 5 cylinder diesel which has attained legendary status as one of the most reliable engines ever made and is known in motoring circles as the "million mile engine". Also, it is the a much sought-after A-Class body type but is still only 6m long with a GVW of 3500kg so it can be driven by anyone with a standard UK licence. This particular van was bought by the current owner in Belgium in 2002 and driven back to the UK where he has owned it ever since.
The 925M features a highly functional, compact layout designed to maximise living space within its 6-metre length. Its defining characteristic is the absence of a permanent rear bed, which allows for an exceptionally spacious lounge and a large end washroom.
Entering the door on the driver side, you are facing the the "Pullman-style" dinette on the nearside with 2 belted seats with a short settee opposite on the offside. This is a great social and dining area with both driver seats swivelling allowing for a comfortable area for up to 6 people with this area also having a TV. This then converts into a double bed very easily and is the first two berths. The next two berths are then provided by a large manual drop-down double bed located directly over the cab area. This bed can be left ready-made and simply stows away during the day to free up the lounge.
The kitchen is positioned in the offside rear corner and has 3xgas burner hob,sink and fridge.Opposite this is the very generous bathroom that includes a separate walk-in shower cubicle, a cassette toilet, and a vanity washbasin.
There is plenty of storage internally and it is constructed with Rapido’s signature high-quality solid wood with high-level lockers throughout.
In the Cab we have AC,cruise control,blinds and a radio.
Externally there is more storage lockers, an excellent tow bar, wind-out awning, bike rack and a ladder for roof access.
