The 2008 VW Brazilian Danbury Campervan is a
modern take on the iconic VW Type 2 Kombi, built in Brazil and converted in the
UK by Danbury Motorcaravans. It retains the retro charm of the original 1960s
camper, with a classic rounded shape and cheerful two tone paint scheme
Under the hood is a more modern1.4L water cooled engine and it features
modern safety and mechanical updates while keeping its nostalgic look.
Inside, Danbury’s conversion offers a clever
and cozy layout, including a rock-and-roll bed, compact kitchen with fridge, sink and
hob and grill, storage units and a pop-top roof for extra headroom or sleeping space.
Designed for weekend trips or longer getaways, it mixes vintage appeal with
basic modern comforts.
This Danbury also benefits from some
additional extras such as Heated Front and Rear Screens, Webasto Petrol Heater for the habitation area as well
as another Webasto Air Heater in the cabin to provide warmth on those colder days
away.
While it doesn’t match newer campervans in
power or luxury, the 2008 Danbury is beloved for its character, simplicity, and
the joy of slow, scenic travel. It’s a symbol of freedom and fun—a rolling
