Broker's Comments

Bilbo’s Celeste pop top model T4 shortnose base.. Original and unmolested. This campervan is situated in Bexhill on Sea, in East Sussex.

It is LEZ compliant.
2 berth 4 belts, pop top hinges on

the offside. The pop top has ventilation openings with mesh coverings..

There are no tears in the PVC fabric and the roof is good. A TOAD after

market alarm is fitted and functioning.
The upholstery is original, it has no tears and the rear seat covers can be removed.
This

is the 2.5101 BHP 5 cylinder VW engine which has returned 45 MPG on A

road trips. Easily. It is quieter at an indicated 75 than 65 and the

economy does not seem to suffer. It will have a full MOT on sale. This

is an easy daily driver and copes with supermarket parking spaces fine.
There

is a new clutch, which was replaced at the same time as some gearbox

cog fettling. Bills provided. An oil change, plus filter and fuel filter

change were also done in the last 3k miles, at the same time.
The 3

way fridge works on all inputs, and is clean and tidy. The gas bottle is

stored in the rear lower locker, with a wardrobe cupboard above. There

is eye level storage in shallow lockers above the kitchen area, a long

locker above the rear seat back and 2 underseat storage cupboards. In

one of these sits an unused Outwell porta potti. It goes in with mm to

spare on all sides, a true find.
When parked whether with the top popped, or not there is stowage for random items on the roof shelf above the cab, too.
The

cab passenger seat swivels, and there is a bolt-down and easily

removable storage box with a matching fabric trim cushioned seat on top.
The

bed is not the rock n roll variety. A release catch on the seat bench

frees the seat back which hinges forward to make the double bed, which

is nice and comfy, before you add a mattress topper.
Crucially, you can get to the fridge when the bed is down, for that early morning cup of something hot.
There

is a smaller rear facing part of the seat, which I have used to

accommodate the mattress topper and various bags. The large underseat

storage area is great for storing valuable and larger items out of

sight.
The kitchen section has a 3 burner hob and a grill underneath,

which all work well. There are 3 further drawers beneath the grill

drawer. These are for the usual suspects of cutlery, crockery and pots

and pans, and whatever. Integral to the hob unit is a sink and drainer

section.
The cab has manual windows, there is no central locking to

malfunction, either. There is a DAB stereo with Aux in jack socket. I

have used a bluetooth device to give hands free calling and for porting

music to the stereo. There are speakers in the rear of the van too,

above the rear seat. A couple of 3 pin sockets for when on hook up do

the job, and there is a 12 outlet from the leisure battery which is

under the driver’s seat. Lighting wise there are halogen spots on flexi

fittings to the four corners of the habitation area. There is a round

light fitting to illuminate the kitchen top. A pedestal mounted table

slots behind the driver’s seat when it is not engaged in its slot in the

floor. From where it can be rotated to suit how you are sitting if

there is more than one of you.
The underslung clean water tank contents are pump fed to the sink. A grey tank holds the slops.
The electric control panel all works and the leisure battery is in good nick.
Curtains

all round including a cab screening suction cup variant are in good

condition and do a surprisingly good job at keeping light out and

privacy in.
The bumpers sport some evident UV degradation and

greying. They could do with a paint, back to black has only temporary

benefits. But only if you are pernickety.
The window tinting adhesive film to the rear section of the rear most side windows has cracked in parts, an easy DIY fix.
I

can’t be definitive, because I have not explored the option, but I

believe that roof boards could be fitted to accommodate kids sleeping

upstairs.
Khyam 2 air beam inflatable and drive away awning available too. A sewn in groundsheet and fitted carpet come with.
The sliding doors moves smoothly and there is an Omnistore 2000 i.e. 2 metre manual awning to give shade and shelter too.
A tow bar has the lighting socket to make it usable and there is a spare number plate too.
2 keys, the V5 and original manuals and Bilbo’s operating instructions are all present and correct.
I am selling it to buy a 4 seasons van as we have more vacation time in winter than summer, otherwise it would be a keeper.
There is an extensive picture file available. The VRM can be used to check history, but I am happy to answer any questions.
