A good example of Volkswagens California, probably the most envied conversion in the campervan market, one would even say iconic. First registered in 2006 it is the 2.5 TDi engine with the 6 speed manual gearbox. This left hand drive example has only had 3 owners from new, it has a big file of service history over the years and a stamped book for some of the service work, last major service 22/07/2020.
The camper is presented with a host of the California goodies, which you wont find on most conversions. The cab has the benefit of: Power Steering, Climate Control Air conditioning, Electric Windows Front, Electric Heated Mirrors; Heated seats Front; Webasto Auxiliary Heater; Over head Camper control unit; Reverse camera screen in place of rear view mirror.
The rear is entered on the Drivers side via a manual sliding door, immediately opposite is the Kitchen area with Brushed metal sink with chrome mixer tap combined with a 2 gas burner hob. A top opening cool box style compressor 12v fridge, underneath is a storage cupboard for all your cooking utensils. The table is folded to the side of the unit and can be slid along a rail and erected in the centre with the front seats rotated to join the area while taking a break on your travels or dining.
To the left is the large bench seat which is sat on rails so can be positioned anywhere in the rear while travelling. This seat cleverly folds down to make a large double bed at night. It has 2 x 3 point lap & diagonal belts for travelling passengers and a slide out drawer underneath.
To the rear there are side cupboard units that are accesses by tambour doors for extra storage and overhead there is a drop down cupboard. The rear also benefits from climate air conditioning. In the tailgate there is some ingenious storage for two foldaway camping chairs.
The pop top is controlled electrically and can be opened in just over a minute to access a large double bed for passengers, the tent has the benefit of fly screens on either side. It shuts away neatly and has a tambour door to close over the cab.
This vehicle has few age related marks as you would expect at this age, it will come fully valeted inside & out which wasn’t done at the time of the photographs. Speedo is on KM, with 228301 KM on odometer.

Anyone of any age can drive this Campervan on a normal full UK driving licence.
