Compare the price of this VW California to other California's and you will see that this vehicle is absolutely cracking value. It is owned by an American couple who have toured extensively across Europe and have loved every minute. They have now returned to the USA and have tasked us with finding a buyer for their beloved campervan and they agreed to price it very, very competitively to get it sold.
This left hand drive VW has a 2.5 litre engine and the highly desirable automatic gearbox which makes driving effortless. As well as cab air conditioning there is also a separate control to operate the air conditioning for the rear passengers. There are 3 rear seats and these are all fitted with seat belts giving 5 in total for the vehicle. At bedtime the rear seats fold out to create a double bed and there are a further 2 sleeping berths in the roof. The pop top roof is very straight forward to put up and down and gives an enormous amount of headroom for even the tallest of people.
As well as air conditioning throughout the vehicle there is also heating which runs off the excellent Webasto diesel system. The display screen for this needs a new part but the heating system works perfectly.
At the rear you have an ingenious slide pod which houses a 2 gas burner hob and a stainless steel sink with a mixer tap which is great for al fresco cooking and dining. There is also a wind out awning so you can sit and dine outside whilst sheltering from the sun. On the rear door there is a bike rack for 4 cycles.
There are a few age related marks but this is an excellnt camper at a fantastic price and it will make a great travelling partner for a couple or a single person.
