Take a look at this excellent family motorhome from Chausson. It is based on the 2.2 litre Ford Transit.
On entering the habitation door, which is midway on the
offside, you find the kitchen area immediately to your left. There is a 3-burner hob and a sink surrounded
by a worktop area and with spacious drawers below and lockers above. Next comes the large 3-way fridge with
separate freezer above and an oven above that.
Next comes the first of 2 large wardrobes with shelving
areas. Across the rear are two large bunk
beds with a garage area below. The lower
bunk base is hinged and can be lifted to one side to make a garage area which
is large enough to carry push bikes if required.
Coming forward is another large full height wardrobe and a
handy shoe locker with a hinged lid.
The superb bathroom area has the usual toilet and washbasin
but also a sliding screen across the separate shower which even has a built-in
seat. A large 100 litre water tank
ensures plenty of hot water for a shower if needed.
The dining area consists of two opposing bench seats. The
forward facing one has two 3-point seat belts and the rear facing one 2 lap
belts. There is a table between them
with an extending part and a small bench seat to the right of the habitation
door. The opposing seats can be combined
to make a small double bed.
Over the cab is a huge double bed which is hinged to lift
out of the way when driving. The
drivers’ seat is on a swivel base so there is plenty of seating for everyone in
this area.
All around the van are high level lockers and a TV/DVD is
included which is sited above the habitation door.
The heating is run off the diesel tank so is very
economical. The water heater runs off
gas or electric.
Externally there is a 4-bike rack on the rear, a reversing
camera and included in the sale is an Outdoor Revolution drive-away blow-up
awning and a full winter cover.
This family motorhome weighs in at 3500Kg so can be driven
on an ordinary license.
