Once you have owned a motorhome built on a Mercedes chassis, powered by a Mercedes engine and with the luxury of the amazing automatic transmission you will never want anything else. This Auto-Sleepers Devon is a low profile compact motorhome, 5.94 metres in length that provides luxury accommodation for a couple. It is easy to drive and park and it offers excellent manouevrability for the driver.
The Devon is one of the most iconic motorhomes ever built ever built by the highly respected manufacturer Auto-Sleepers. Fixtures and fittings are built to a very high standard and with the benefit of Mercedes renowned engineering this motorhome should last you a lifetime. The layout comprises of an end kitchen with all the facilities you will ever need to rustle up gastronomic meals on your travels.
The washroom is also located towards the rear of the vehicle and is very well equipped. There is a Thetford cassette toilet, a wash basin with a mixer tap and a mirrored bathroom cabinet. But undoubtedly the best feature is the clever swing wall that unclips and swings round to create a separate shower area to ensure that the washroom doesn't get soaked. Once you have finished showering simply clip the wall back into place and you have a full-size washroom again.
The lounge dinette area is an absolute pleasure to relax in. There are two very comfortable side facing sofas and at bedtime these pull together to form a large double bed. 2 side facing windows and a large skylight ensure that the lounge is flooded with daylight making it a light and airy spot to sprawl out. There is a freestanding dining table for use at meal times and this can be folded and stored away when not in use. There is also a small drinks table which attaches to a swing arm which is a useful addition. Above the lounge are numerous lockers providing plenty of storage and there is also additional storage space under both of the sofas. This motorhome also comes with a free Avtex TV.
In the cab there is air conditioning, driver and passenger airbags, a radio cd player and cab privacy blinds. But the standout feature is the Mercedes automatic gearbox and unparalleled engine that make driving this motorhome a real pleasure.
Externally the motorhome has a solar panel to keep your leisure battery topped up, a bike rack for two cycles and reversing sensors. It is fitted with an alarm and a tracker so you have plenty of security and this helps reduce your insurance cost. The motorhome also has rear levelling jacks for additional support. There is a wind out awning to shelter from the sun and an external TV point. Heating and hot water work off both electric and gas.
