Here is a classic monocoque-bodied motorhome from Auto-Sleepers. This is based on the sought after Ford Transit 2.5 litre ‘smiley face’ cab.
The habitation door in on the nearside rear corner. On entering into the rear kitchen area there
is a fridge immediately on your left with a freezer box inside and above is
worktop space with a neat cocktail cabinet above. A large settee runs along the nearside leading
to the cab area with storage cupboards above.
Behind the drivers’ seat are double facing benches with a table between
them. The forward-facing bench has 2
seatbelts. The beds can be made up as
either a single and a small double or a huge double bed. There are storage lockers all around the
ceiling area and beneath the benches, including a safe. Several skylights give plenty of light and
all the habitation windows have blinds and flyscreens.
In the rear offside corner is a wardrobe with a microwave
included within it, then the washroom, and across the rear is a full
oven and grill with hob above and a sink with a useful draining board.
The current owners have made seat covers to most of the
settees but there is no damage to the original upholstery beneath.
Externally there is a small rear locker, a 2- bike rack and a
rear ladder leading to bars on the roof for luggage/canoe etc. There is a wind out canopy and a separate blow-up awning is also included in the sale. The large side windows have been recently replaced.
The vehicle is fitted with an aftermarket immobiliser.
The fuel pump on this vehicle was completely replaced with a
custom built mechanical one at vast expense as the original electronic one
which was fitted to this van back in the day failed and was impossible to mend –
this is well known problem for this particular age and model of Ford Transit. Please ring me if you would like more

There are some issues with the gas hot water and heating
systems due to its age (obsolete systems) so again, please
contact me to discuss this as this can be worked around using mains on a hook
up.
