This also converts to the sleeping area and this process is extremely easy to convert the parallel rear benches into a 1.92m by 1.28m double bed. The seat bases just pull together – no flimsy caravan-style bed slats here! And trim panels at the side walls mean that your pillows don’t touch the walls.
The galley is in the centre of the ’van, along the nearside, and here you immediately notice an advantage over a (narrower) van conversion with a similar layout. The aisle between the washroom and kitchen is not as restricted. Spec includes a Triplex cooker with oven/grill, plus a sink with removable drainer and a high-level microwave. There’s plenty of worktop, even before you use the folding flap by the door and this is completed by the 85l fridge.
The washroom in the C402 is also surprisingly large for a compact motorhome and you’ll find plenty of room to get washed in here, and the area is fully lined, too. There’s storage space, in the form of a small cupboard, as well as a towel ring and toothbrush holder.
Remarkably for a compact motorhome, there is enough room for a dinette up front, with a pair of belted seats – so you can travel with four people on board, making this an ideal ‘van for running children around in before they pitch up a pup tent and sleep outside. Alternatively, you can use the dinette as somewhere to eat and leave the bed up permanently – ideal if you’re planning to arrive on site late at night and don’t want the hassle of making up a bed.This area also has a TV with satellite system.
The Cab is well-appointed with AC,Cruise,Bluetooth and USB points.
