This is a fantastic opportunity to own a classic Hymer Hymobile Star-Line 640 presented in very good condition for its age. It has been lovingly used and maintained by its current owner and has travelled extensively around Europe and the UK (it has even been round the Monaco F1 circuit). Having owned the Hymer for the last 12 years, the current owner has looked after everything himself to ensure that it is in the best possible condition. The 2800cc Mercedes engine is the 4-speed Auto gearbox, making it easy to drive. There are loads of extras on the motorhome and has everything you could need to have amazing adventures away. It is extremely spacious throughout and has a large lounge area, very well equipped kitchen, good washroom with shower and is extremely comfortable to sleep in.
As mentioned this Hymer is built on the extremely reliable Mercedes chassis and has a powerful 2800cc engine and 4 speed auto gearbox. It is chain driven and the engine has been regularly serviced by the current owner who has done all the work himself. It has just had a new windscreen and had new tyres approx 2,000 miles ago. The owner fitted a new media system a while ago - which features reversing camera and Sat Nav. The fact this is an A-Class motorhome gives you amazing panoramic views as you drive along.
The Star-Line 640 has a fantastic living area and has an extremely spacious lounge area at the front with a very large side facing sofa and a further, equally large L-shaped sofa, and the two front seats that can be swivelled around. At the back of the motorhome you have a really well equipped kitchen that features an oven, grill, hob with 3 gas burners, sink and 3-way fridge with ice compartment. The Hymer is extremely comfortable to sleep in and has a large pull down bed at the front that is in excellent condition. The sofas can be made into an enormous double or used as two singles if you prefer. At the rear there is also a spacious washroom with Thetford flush cassette toilet, sink and shower.
Externally the motorhome loads of extras including the wind-out awning, solar panel, tow bar and bike rack, it even has an in-built 20m hook-up cable that has been installed by the current owner. It comes with 2 x 13kg gas bottles and there is an adaptor that can be used to fill with Autogas.
In summary this is an absolutely fantastic classic Hymer motorhome that has been extremely well maintained by the current owner. The motorhome is 25 years old and so there are age related marks to be expected, but overall it is in great condition and would be a joy to own.
