Made in 1972 and re-sprayed from yellow and white to blue and white, this Bay window VW T2 is complete with a rear engine, pop-top, power steering and servo assisted brakes.
The van has full MOT history since 2011. It was renovated in 2007 with an original mileage of 68,230 and a new odometer reading of 3,883.
The body work has been restored, undersealed, and painted to a finish as seen in the pictures, with the pop top material replaced.
The Mechanical upgrades are a service exchange gearbox, exchange JK Preservation 1776 cc engine (which has just covered 2,322 miles) fitted with two Weber 40 IDF 70S 6M carburettors with two electrically operated fuel shut off valves. The vehicle has also been fitted with servo assisted brakes and Lite Steer power steering.
The van has a normal rear seat (rock and roll bed) converting down to a FULL WIDTH King size bed when the cooker is removed typically to your awning, again as seen in the pictures.
The van also has a sink with two speed water pump, housing a
Waeco CRP 40 compressor fridge under, Heatsource HS2000 gas heater, interior lights,
one double and two single mains sockets with USB outlets, radio/CD player with
four speakers, on board battery charger and inverter when on mains hook up.
Other fitted items include a front instrument cluster containing oil pressure and temperature gauges, voltmeter with selector switch to monitor main and domestic battery voltages, reversing camera front screen with discreet rear camera, fire extinguisher, electric screen wash pump system and additional digital voltmeter in living area to monitor domestic battery voltage.
