Both beds are substantial and comfortable, the lower bed having the Hymer Comfort system supporting the mattress cushions. The centre section of the rear bed is easily hinged to create a garage store. Also here is the Gaslow refillable domestic gas supply, fill up for a fraction of the price of bottled gas. The rear doors have fitted opening windows with blinds and flyscreens, storage for an external table with two chairs to match.
The compact kitchen offers a good range of storage, 65 litre compressor fridge, two burner hob and sink, plus a hook on worktop extension. Opposite this is the washroom with tip up sink, vanity storage, shower and toilet. To the front is a dinette with side mounted lift up table opposite the swivel cab seats, so four can sit in comfort. With the table stowed, the ladder can be attached to access the upper roof bed, probably the best poptop bed you will ever find, with the mattress in an inset fixed base, high lift, quality canvas with plenty of light and air, safety net.
The fresh water system is inboard with tank and lines partially warmed by the Eberspacher ducted air heating system to avoid freezing in cold conditions. Walls and ceiling are insulated and soft lined for warmth and sound absorption.
Up front there is plenty of power from the 130bhp engine and 6 speed gearbox, with additional features such as cruise control, media unit with satnav and rear view camera, plus cab screen blinds all making life easier. The Ayers Rock can be parked just about anywhere, is completely self supporting with resilient and powerful onboard systems and is suitable for all year use. This vehicle is capable of sleeping 4, with 4 seatbelts and is plated at 3500KG, so can be driven on a standard car licence.
