Chausson are a highly respected manufacturer renowned for producing innovative motorhomes with a high level of craftsmanship and this Chausson Suite Maxi displays all those traits. The build quality is very impressive and the layout inside is unlike any other we have seen for a long time.
Based on the fantastic class-leading Fiat Ducato chassis, this lovely 3 berth motorhome has the excellent 2.3 litre engine which is powerful enough to climb hills with ease but still delivers impressive fuel economy figures. In the driver cab you have air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, a radio cd player, manual 6 speed gear box, driver and passenger airbags and 2 swivel seats.
Behind the cab is a spacious and airy lounge with room for 6 guests to dine, play games and enjoy the fun and freedom that a motorhome holiday brings. The multi-directional dining table can be manouevered into a variety of different positions to suit your needs and the 2 front seats can be swivelled round. The 2 seater sofa is fitted with 2 seat belts so this Chausson can travel with 4 people onboard. The dining table can be raised or dropped electronically and this along with the 2 side facing single seats makes up the 3rd sleeping berth. Above the lounge you have the fantastic feature of an electric drop down bed giving you all the benefits of a fixed bed without the drawback of taking up loads of floor space.
Behind the sofa you have the unusual feature of a kitchen island with a 2 gas burner hob and a stainless steel sink with a storage cupboard overhead as well as drawers and a cupboard at ground level. Behind this is a full size fridge freezer and an oven and grill so you have all the facilities you need to rustle up great food on the go. Either side of the fridge you have an amazing amount of storage space thanks to a series of full length cupboards.
At the rear of the vehicle you will find the cavernous washroom. Here you have a separate shower with fold out perspex screens, a wash basin with a mixer tap, a Thetford cassette toilet with electric flush and a substantial bathroom cabinet for your toiletries. The bathroom has a skylight and a window so it is flooded with natural light.
On top of the huge amount of internal storage space there is also a massive garage so if you want to go long-term touring you can pack your belongings and disappear off for months on end. The roof mounted solar panel will keep your leisure battery topped up and there is a bike rack for 2 cycles and a tow bar. A reversing camera and reversing sensors are fitted and the motorhome has an alarm and a tracker which the owner thinks is transferable.
The superb heating system runs off diesel and hot water runs off gas so if you like to wild camp this motorhome ticks the box. Having only had 2 owners and covering just over 29,000 miles this Chausson will make a fantastic travelling partner for many years to come. Plated at 3500 kg means she can be driven by anybody on a standard driving licence.
