The Autotrail Scout is a great family motorhome and this one would be absolutely ideal for a family or four or five people. The Scout has a fantastic interior layout which includes a lovely U shaped rear lounge, front dinette area and large over the cab bed. This gives lots of places for the family to spread out and have their own space while away. This particular motorhome is on the excellent Mercedes chassis, has good service history and has had regular habitation checks throughout its life to make sure everything is working and there are no surprises. Overall the motorhome is in good condition, especially internally which is lovely. There are one or two cosmetic marks on the exterior but that is to be expected for a model of this age. If you are a looking for a fantastic motorhome to get out and enjoy the summer together this motorhome would be perfect for you.
The Scout is built on the extremely sort after Mercedes chassis and has a powerful 2700cc engine with 5 speed manual gearbox. As you will have noticed this motorhome has very low mileage for its age and has been well looked after by the current owners.
The motorhome has an excellent living area which is bright and clean throughout. It has a new vinyl floor put down which is far more practical and allows the motorhome to be used and enjoyed - particularly if you are bringing kids and pets. At the front there is an excellent double dinette table and kitchen area. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, grill, duel fuel hob with 3 gas burners and an electric hotplate, sink and three way fridge with ice compartment. As you move to the rear of the motorhome you have a fantastic U shaped rear lounge with wonderful panoramic views. The Scout is ideal for sleeping with the rear lounge converting into a large double bed, there is an equally large over the cab bed at the front and a third smaller double can be made out of the dinette table. There is an excellent washroom in this motorhome with Thetford cassette toilet, sink and separate shower. Heating and hot water is provided by the Truma boiler system.
Externally this Autotrail comes with a new wind-out awning, small garage at the rear, bike rack, tow bar and even has a external shower point to wash down wellies. There is also and external bbq point but this will need a new valve to get working. As mentioned the motorhome does have a couple of external cosmetic marks but nothing that takes away from what a great motorhome this is.
In summary this is a fantastic family motorhome and ready to go now. If you are looking for a great van to create wonderful memories for you and your family this could definitely be the one for you.
